Aliza Shvarts

The Telegraph reported a story about Aliza Shvart, which seems to really have opened a dialogue aobut what art is and what the job of an artist is.

Shvarts, who is an undergrad at Yale artificailly inseminated herself, and induced multiple miscarriages for an art project.

Shvarts said that she wanted to prompt a debate on the relationship between art and the human body.

The installation includes video recordings of these forced miscarriages as well as preserved collections of the blood from the process.
