Lost Books
I have an ongoing argument with a libertarian friend.
I (being a socialist) insist that a capitalist system discourages
harmony.
"We can't all win if we're competing against each other," I tell him.
My friend the Libertarian argues that left unchecked and unregulated
(or free, as he puts it), citizens will do the right thing.
"We don't need the government to tell us to be good people," he
says.
This is an experiment to see who is right. I select books, write
friends' addresses on the inside cover, and "forget" them in public
places, hoping that some free citizen out there will do the right
thing.
I blur the addresses so you won't show up at my friends' houses.
