Teaching
Teaching asks the same questions my writing does: how structure holds memory, how history moves through character, how a story earns the right to be told. I care about craft and risk in equal measure — strong bones, room to revise, room to find your own voice.
Courses have ranged from introductory screenwriting workshops to advanced writers’-room practice, along with dramatic writing and film studies seminars.
I teach screenwriting and writers’-room practice, with an eye toward equity in the classroom. I’ve also done my share of festival and program leadership.
